We are currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our new Solar Panel Factory in Huntsville, Al as part of the new LG Electronics Huntsville Solar Production Subsidiary .

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The HR Business Partner will be a trusted advisor and partner to Business Leaders, Clients, and other stakeholders. The position leads and facilitates the development of culture and key capabilities for the organization and is responsible for securing and maintaining a productive, diverse and engaged workforce, comprised of the best talent available. Through the design, development and implementation of Human Resources strategies, the HRBP supports initiatives and associated design and execution in order to achieve business results and sustainable growth. In partnership with the appropriate functional HR areas, the HRBP drives and deploys integrated local talent management, employee development, compensation, performance management, and organizational transformation and workplace strategies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units

  • Facilitates development of the client group’s integrated people plan and ensures alignment with the strategic plans of the organization.

  • Designs discovery process to capture business needs and required capabilities. Partner with senior leaders to design the people organization

  • Monitors and leverages performance results and recommends improvement opportunities.

  • Assist in communication and execution of performance management to all managers and employees. Ensures feedback and evaluations are completed on-time, by guidelines for every employee.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of HR plans, policies, programs, and tools in partnership with business leaders, Centers of Excellence (COEs) to build and enhance organizational capability and add value to the business.

  • Initiates and sustains continuous dialogue with function leaders on both internal and external change issues and opportunities. Facilitates development of change plans and implementation of business transformational initiatives.

  • Analyzes how change can be supported and sustained through redesigned HR strategies, programs, practices, policies, and processes.

  • Develops and implements a culture of Safety and Health compliance

  • Plans and promotes the understanding, application, and improvement of strategies to address talent gaps and needs.

  • Works with Talent Management and Talent Acquisition to design and leverage integrated people strategies; enabling the attraction, development, and retention of top talent.

  • Anticipates and facilitates the identification of key business changes and the implementation of those changes to achieve the desired end state as a business.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field is required.

  • An Advanced degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with increasing responsibilities is required.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a client-focused HR Generalist role, including experience as a specialist in one of the following core HR disciplines: talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, employee development, safety and legal compliance.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with direct HR Management responsibility in a manufacturing production environment

  • ​Experience working with Employee Relations and good working knowledge of U.S. employment law and regulations is also required.
