We are currently seeking a Sr. QA R & D Engineer to join our rapidly-expanding team in Huntsville, AL as part of the new LG Electronics Huntsville solar module factory.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The R & D Engineer needs expertise in the development and manufacturing of PV module to provide better value to its customers, and must be able to conduct research and development based on analytical thinking.
Should be able to share technical advice and advice to project team members to assist in identifying, reviewing and resolving problems from a customer perspective and to understand the flow of production, manufacturing and sales of the developed parts or products. And to make predictions and preventive design of the problems that occur at each stage.
Investigate problems occurring from production and customer perspectives are resolved through active mind and statistical analysis
Continuous communication and collaboration with internal staff or teams for successful projects
Manage BOM and ECO accordingly to standard.
Proceed NPI* process (NPI : LG standard development process_PV event)
Develop local materials and parts.
Formulate and adhere to standards and procedures for material and parts Development
Bachelor’s Degree - Material / Science engineering
Minimum of 5 Years work experience in the Automotive Industry (Quality)
In-depth knowledge of PV module and materials.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Certifications including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma have advantage
Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience
Experience with implementation of corrective action programs
Product or industry-specific experience in automotive company
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and database
Collection, management and analysis of quality data
Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
Understand the part PPAP process
Understand the BIQS system.
Understand how to control the suppliers
Key Competencies: Preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
Ability to quickly adapt to schedule and requirement changes
Ability to develop working relationships with experts in the field of technology
Analytical Thinking – ability to identify patters across situations that are not obviously related and to identifying key underling issues in complex situations
